There are many other attractions in the area. These include the Bowring Ranch with Nebraska Sandhills history, the highly rated Museum of the Fur Trade near Chadron with its renowned rifle collection, and Fort Robinson with its military history. The Pine Ridge Indian Reservation is a few miles north in South Dakota where Native American art and bead work can be found. The Red Cloud Indian Museum and Art Show is also located there. A day trip to the Black Hills of South Dakota with its parks and buffalo herds is always rewarding, as are visits to the Crazy Horse Monument and the famous and inspiring Mount Rushmore. Pheasant hunting and fishing are off-ranch possibilities.
